CRISPR, Climate Change, and the Microbiome with Jennifer Doudna

When I had the opportunity, I knew I had to ask Jennifer Doudna, inventor of CRISPR, what she thought the most powerful application of biotechnology would be to make a more sustainable world.

As a huge proponent of our planet's microbiome being one of the most valuable assets in managing climate change, it was incredible to hear that such a prominent, influential scientist has the same mindset. She also had these words of advice for aspiring scientists: Go for it, never let anyone derail you, you need to take risks to do interesting work, and always follow your instincts.
